forum with password

this is proly will be easy to do

my suggustion is
for our forum can beable to
put password on topic meaning like a
pirvate sub forum or topic
like for all my mod and admin need there privatesy
and to make the room for admin and mod only so
when a normal member enter it will say
you havent got premission to enter this forum

stuff like at

sub port me and vote yes if you like it

and plus if a member want a private forum
it come up with a password area for them to enter

the owner of the sub private forum can give out the password to a friend or anyone them trust

Make special area visible only to administrators and moderators. No need of this, sorry.

Plus : your password could circle around the members and more people then they should could access that area.

any features on forumotion will work on all styles fyi, they all run of the same forum software, when u change 'version', all you cxhange is looks.

I really don't agree with this...But I didn't vote yet.Am still thinking.You can make your forum not visable to the others,instead of giving a password to type in.But when I decide on yes or no,i'll vote and say.

I like the idea. I know what it's like when certain members would like to have their own private forum or topic for their private RPG or whatnot. If they can get a private forum or subforum and also be able to password protect topics themselves, then that would be great since they won't have to be included in the Admin/Mod group.

Nah, I don't think it's really needed. You can make it so only a special usergroup can view/post in the forums. You can also "hide" the forum for certain members.

True, but then, you'd have to constantly make groups and grant certain members permission to join the group every time someone wants to get into the group. I guess you could make someone else the Moderator for the group but then, won't they need to become part of the Admin group? And you don't necessarily want that so you'll have to take the jobs yourself unless you trust them and have them added to Admin group. *shrugs* And since the members want their forum to be private and their group private, you can't make the group Open so, you're just giving yourself more tedious tasks if you are the only admin of your forum. With the feature being suggested, you give the member themselves the power to just make their own private password-protected forum or topic without having to bother you every time a member wants to join their forum/topic. *shrugs*

mm.. you'd only really need to make one group, right? or are you talking about for like a competition section, where each member belongs to 1 house or whatever?

it good for guild on any games at need a private forum for the player talk about stuff in at game ect

the forum premission is diffent becasue we all get lazy so

it would be better to have forum password for people

forum premission mean at them have more or less control of the forum

password forum mean at people can have there private password forum
like of guild ,mmo game ect if you made a site for mmo game stuff like at
