How do I disable post count for a certain section? I can't find the setting.

Hi! It's not possible for a certain section. But you can for all: Go to Administration Panel => General => Forum => Security => => Security Administration => Flood control. Delay between 2 messages, topics or private messages by a user.
Minimum : 10 - Maximum : 9999
