In progress My forum has been temporarily shutdown, how can I get it back as fast as possible?

Post by Crazy Ice December 12th 2011, 4:44 pm

I have a forum which used to contain sections for shock videos, drug discussions and such, I will definently delete any sections which are considered unappropriate, and I just want my forum back..
My adress is http://bullshit.forumotion.com

All my users are very upset and we will do anything it takes to get our forum back.

This is what is says:

Onlineguardian has banned "bullshit.forumotion.com " hosted on forumotion.com due to the violation of terms of services.

The possible deletion reasons are as following :

Violent or repulsive content
Hateful or abusive content
Defamatory content and / or affecting the integrity of a person
Sexual and/or pornographic content
Harmful and dangerous acts
Copyright infringment
Spam
Phishing and/ or malware website
Credit card fraud
Hacking

Your forum is deleted, 90% you don't get your forum back, unfortunately. Sad

Sending a PM to either one of those people will not help the situation. The only thing you can do is contest the decision on the website itself. However, the chances of you getting it back are very slim.

I am an administrator of the forum. I'm kinda sitting here praying that we can be one of the 10% who gets the forum back, as the rules that were broken were mainly a result of us not cracking down on any activity we may have thought to be against the rules. Beyond the very few instances of breaking the rules that did occur, and despite the forum's name, it really was a good community. None of us are involved in any hacking/fraud, etc whatsoever, and it'd be really sad to see the forum go along with any valuable posts we may have made such as reviews of films/games.

You're seriously wondering why you're forum got deleted? Especially with that forum url? Not trying to insult you or anything, but anybody with brain cells should know why you're forum was deleted..

& you said "drug discussions?" You just made it even worse..

I'd think if they really had a problem with the url, they would have either said something about it two years ago when it was made, or they simply wouldn't have allowed the forum to have been made under that name.

I wasn't around when the forum was named though.

Hello,

The only option is to contest the ban. If you get your forum back, your pretty lucky, if you don't I guess you'll need to create a new forum. At this stage I will lock this topic and hope you get your forum back if it was indeed wrongly banned.
