Why won't heading colors completely change?

I can't get the heading color to completely change. I selected the appropriate color for my headings but the first inch is the old color and the rest is the appropriate color. Any solutions?

It didn't work. I am logged on with my wife's computer, now. Same thing. Old color on top, new color on bottom.
