Moving many members from one group to another?
I searched here but can't find my answer.
I have a multitude of members in one group, but as they haven't visited and logged in for ages, I aim to demote them and move them to a group of limited access whereby they regain activation upon request to admin/moderators? The auto-post facility will only 'promote' people when they reach a higher post count?
As it stands, you can only remove members from a group by batch, or add them singularly each time?
Do I really have to move each of the 90 or so members one-by-one? It'd be ideal if there was a button to just move members by batch?

Re: Moving many members from one group to another?
Hi, unfortunately that would be the case. There is no automatic way of transferring all the members from one group to another. However, another way I've just thought of would be to limit the current group's permissions and create a entirely new one.
It's up to you what you choose to do, but there is no automatic way of doing this.

Re: Moving many members from one group to another?
Hi Base and thanks for a very quick reply!
That would be a good idea, but there are also a few members in their current group whose settings I don't want to limit.
I suppose I could alter that group and simply move that 'good' members instead, as there are fewer? But if they log in meanwhile it might confuse them?
I think I'll resign myself to removing them one-by-one to 'members' and from there to a limited access group?
Thanks

Like I said, it's completely up to you. To avoid confusion, you could just simply post an announcement to inform your members of what you're doing in case they get confused.
