thread expands forum layout
Hi everyone!
Today i noticed that my forum layout expands when i view a thread. It wasn't like this before and I haven't added
or deleted any coding for a while. Can anyone help me, it looks terrible.
Here are two images comparing my issue.
This is how it looks when expanded (you can tell by the header)
And this one is a preview of the post showing it like it shoould, not expanded and again you can tell by the header.
I also saw the the thread expands when there's a quote too large

• Please provide your forum URL for appearance problems
And this can be on the part of the coding of the skin/theme of the forum that usually makes the forum look like that when viewing a topic.

- Spoiler:
Well, I'm not sure about that, before it was just fine and it's been open for more than a month, and yesterday was when it started expanding...

Re: thread expands forum layout
Well on my side, when I open a thread, it doesn't expand and shows the original width of the forum both when I view the index or when I open/read a topic.
Is this happening for the other members too? Have you tried clearing cache?

Yes it's happening to all the members using chrome (most use chrome) I cleared my cache and ask them to do the same and still the same. This also happens with spoilers it really becomes extremely expanded if the spoiler is very long.

Re: thread expands forum layout
Can you provide a link to a particular thread that expands on your view?

Re: thread expands forum layout
I see that the forum expands when you open up the spoilers, but when you view the thread and the index, it appears the same in size. I guess this is a problem with the theme of the forum if there aren't any codes changed on your admin panel.
Try re-installing your forum theme directly from hitskin and see if anything changes.

Re: thread expands forum layout
well, the spoiler has always been this way, but it didn't bother me until yesterday. I did add some codes, but that was in the beginning before i launched the forum, and it's been over a month. So I really don't get it.
I really would hate to reinstall my skin, it took me hours to customize it
EDIT: Sorry, i made a mistake. I have a test forum for my codes and the spoiler works fine... what in the world happened? Since i haven't mess with the coding for so long?

So you still added some codes. Try re-installing directly from hitskin as I'd suggested and see if it fixes the problem.I did add some codes, but that was in the beginning before i launched the forum, and it's been over a month. So I really don't get it.

Re: thread expands forum layout
Well I did say i added some code, but i also said it was before i opened the forum, and things were working fine, but now is messed and i haven't touch the coding so yea...
And i really, want a solution withou having to reinstall, because that will fix the problem, but i don't want to spend hours customizing it again.
is there a spot in the css that i can copy and paste from the orginal coding that I'm using on the test forum. Like, I don't know... <body wrapper> or some weird stuff?
