Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
Is there any warning issued to Admin of forum about the complain recieved. If Admin delete all illegal or whatever wrong posts then the forum becomes Again Legal or not!. I have a doubt because small things makes a forum lost and members too.
Please have a debate on this topic.

Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
i think it should depend on the severity of the TOS broken, if it is something very serious that could get forumotion in trouble itself then i dont think a warning should be issued. If it is relatively minor i think a single warning should be issued.
Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
What i think that may be admin is not known to the issue. So if forumotion deletes there forum it will be not good for anyone. I think he must be given at least 1 warning asking to remove illegal content within 5 days or whatever. This will make everyone happy. Sometimes Spammers makes illegal content in the forum and the spammer itself report illegal content to forumotion and they delete the forum directly without any notice.
This will help spammer to do that.
Can anyone tell me how currently forumotion deletes the account. I mean they give one notice to admin or not. Staff members reply appreciated.

Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
Well I think as Zinex said, forumotion doesnt want to get in trouble therefore they have to delete the forums.Warning may possible never work so if there is illegal content, whats wrong with them deleting a forum?
Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
For me, if a forum has just a small section who's illegal, we can give a warning, but if the whole board is about illegal content (ex : warez forums, porn forums), a warning would be useless since removing illegal content means the same than just deleting the forum. More, if we warn the admin of a fully illegal board, he may :
1- ignore the warning and do nothing
2- change the URL address to make the staff lose track on them
3- hide all sections (but the techies can check them anyway)
That's for the same reason that everyone are told to use the litigation tool to send abuse reports. If a report is posted publicly, the admin might see it.

Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
Pretty much as Katt said hitesh123
Two categories:
> Obviously illicit; the main aim or principle of the forum is illegal
=> Deletion with no warning
> Slightly illicit; more or less normal forum wit a few illicit topics/categories
=> Warning and asked to remove those sections or else

Hello Caihlem please say my name as Hitesh only. If u can rename my username if avaiable it will be helpful for me.
Ya, i too now support both of you. But why not have simple policy that ask admin to remove all illegal content in the forum or i will delete in 5 days. Katt said that It may put forumotion in problem but the forum was running for many days untill forumotion came to know. So it can helpful that a single warning before any deletion of forum will be good.
I am telling this because,
No person reg. his forum reads rules and regulation of the forum. I think that no one have read the rules and regulation coming before the reg. at forumotion support forum also. I too not read and u too not have. But i have managed to know rules.
This is what i suggest or what i say. Is there any one who still like to debate on this issue.
Not related with Post :: Congo to Zinex for her promotion has moderator. She is nice and loyal to forum. My wishes with her.

Re: Any Warning Before Forum Deletion!
I read the rules, I even helped write quite a few of them
The logic behind the differences is quite simple actually:
> If the purpose of the forum is illicit (ex: hacking), if we ask the Admin to remove everything, the forum is empty. Also, if it's obviously illicit, that basicaly means that the person is aware of it, just doesn't care
I don't know many "hackers" who aren't aware it's not allowd
> If theirs just a few illicit contents, then it's as you said: delete them or else when I come back your forum's going down
Besides, out ToS isn't long, isn't complicated, if people can't be bothered to be carefull of the rules (on internet like in the real world), they get busted
P.S: I'll see about your username
