help with image verification
i signed up, followed all the directions on this link: https://help.forumotion.com/tricks-tips-f32/how-to-add-image-verification-to-your-forum-t9643.htm
but theres a problem, whenever i test it and select the correct picture it brings up an error saying something like an invaled link.. could someone help me.. the script copied from the website for the image verify thing doesnt seem long enough or theres just something about it that looks weird, and i think thats why its not working

Re: help with image verification
hi i worked out that the code has changed for image verification the other day and all you need to do is add this form tag just before the code and just after it:
- Code:
<form><imageverifationcode></form>

Thats what i meant it should work.
Re: help with image verification
it works now without the error, but it doesnt come up asking to verify it when i try to register?
Re: help with image verification
you have to have the HTML page with the image verification as the registration page, the tutorial i wrote explains how to do this
Re: help with image verification
ahh, your right, i forgot to do that, thanks alot now off to find the rest of the explaing topic

Re: help with image verification
You now need to get rid of your direct registration link in the nav bar, and replace it with the image verification page. The only way to do this, is to go into admin>>styles>> headers and set display only images in the nav bar to: yes. Go into modify the pictures and remove the code present for your registration link. Dont replace it just save.
Come back into headers and down to add a link. You will need a button with register on it. Upload it by imageshack, photobucket or servimg. Place the code for it in the picture selected box. Place the URL to your HTML image verification page in the redirect URL and you can add the word verification in the alternative text box. Save the new link and preview your forum. Test it out and you should now have image verification for your forum. Coupled with users having to activate their accounts from their email you should be secure
you MUST have the navigation bar set to images only. You then want to hide your registration button by going into modify the pictures, clicking on the register button and removing the codefor it and saving. You can then follow the second part of the above to make a new registration link.
Re: help with image verification
i made the new registration link, removed the old reg. img code i think it has it as, and marked it as hide too..
Re: help with image verification

Re: help with image verification
and that link only works when im logged in, and the link from the code doesnt work
Re: help with image verification
the register button will stay as it is when logged in as its a self added one, not a premade one with the forum. Because you cant edit the default register link thats why you have to make a new register button and add the URL to your HTML page for your image verification. please follow the tutorial as it does work, but you need to follow it exactly.

about your banner ads, if you want to centre them you can add <center> before the code i gave you for them and </center> after the code. if you want to that is!
