Old password recovery of normal user

Post by zroged on June 5th 2012, 2:31 am

Hey. As you know when this particular user recalls that he had forgotten email password, then the password is sent to email a new password. The old password is not restored by email. Is it possible to make administrator panel who revives a password by email it will return to the old password by email that he had before he forgot it?

Sorry for my English .. I'm not that good in English. In conclusion I want to know if possible the old password email will be restored. I do not want to email a new password will be restored. Thanks in advance.

You can change a users password via administration panel. Do this by ...
Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Search Users > *User of your choice*

Under "Registration Information" you can create a new password for them.

I do not want to create a new password. I want someone to be able to recover his old password that was him if he forgot it, or I know myself the old password. There is a possibility?

Hi,

No, it is not possible to recover the exact password as the system does not have any way of communication to retrieve it.
It is also not something that will happen in the future, as it is a potential security issue.
