Content on the html page? Empty Content on the html page?

I just figured out how to make html pages which is good that means i don't need help with that, here is the problem how do i insert the information on that same page?

Ex: on my home page i want
The title
a picture
and some information on the page telling people about the site such as a welcome and the reason that the forum was created.
