How to make a detailed fixed-to-the-top navbar?
Hello again, I'm back
I'm reworking the forum I'm an admin of and I want a sweet navbar at the top that is fixed to the top. Everything below it from the advertisement that's normally below the normal navbar to the footer, obviously, I want to scroll as normal. I started a new thread because I wanted something a little more unique then the others.
I wanted this to be a little detailed though. I was thinking a logo on the left one-third or so (it could be big text but I'd rather have a picture), and the other two thirds to the right being made up of four big text links linking to the portal, forum home page, and two html sites. Those four links I'd like on the top of the regular navbar links (memberlist, search, profile, etc.). If possible I want to omit FAQ and Usergroups from the navbar. I also want to make sure that logged out users see "Register" and "Log In" and those logged in see "# new messages" "Profile" and "Log Out".
In a nutshell: replacing the current navbar with a fixed HTML navbar with a logo, two rows of textlinks, the top being taller the bottom being smaller. How do you do that? I'll figure it out from somewhere (hopefully) if someone gets me started but I really don't want someone writing all of that out because I'd feel really guilty
Thanks for the help, I know it's a ton to ask for and I really appreciate any help I can get
Also if this is supposed to be in "script/coding problems" move it there, I didn't know where to write this.
