Thread restarts after 22 pages

Hi All

I am currently having an issue that has happened twice now, after a thread gets to 22 pages, (Only one thread is doing this at the moment) the thread drops back to page 1 and some of the users lose some post, one user lost 150 posts on their post count. I know that there is a limit in place but this should not be effecting post counts.

Does the limit not just lock the old thread and make a new one?

Any help with this would be great.

The limit is between 900 and 1000 posts per topic, and yes, the limit should have create a new topic and not reset your first topic.
Did you tried to do a backup ?

No but I don't want my user to lose anymore info. Where is the old thead meant to go? Is it in the basket? And is there away to increase the limit? Thank you for reying.

No it should remain in your forum and the 2nd part of the topic should be added to the forum.
