Is it not pissible on this host? I've seen a lot of other hosts allow smileys show up in the topic title.

i think this is possible, but only with version three.

Hmmm, how do I switch to version 3 and will I have to re-do anything on my forum if I switch? It would really be awful if I had to remake my entire forum just to switch to version 3 so I can add smileys to my topic titles.

You don;t need to remake the forum to switch to version 3. Just go to admin panel=>Styles=>Choose your style=>Change version and choose phpBB 3.

Oh GAWD now everythings out of proportion. it look like my custom icons for the topics and forums have stretched everything and it looks all weird. ummm... help?

Switch back to phpBB 2. Your theme is probably for phpBB 2 only.

how do i know which theme is for 3?


what is the difference between 2 and 3? is it only the allowances of smilies in topic titles?
