Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
Well what sort of forums are you looking for?
For example is your forum dedicated to one type of game or game series?
Or does it cover gaming in general.
If you provide detail I can answer you better as I run gaming forums however it's for a specific series. However I should still be able to help.

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
My forum is based over all kinds of games, It is just gaming in general such as Consoles, Games, ect.
Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
Well a section on consoles.
Probably cover brands for example Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo. Then branch it off from there.
Cover the different types of gaming for example. RPG, shooting, family, Action/Adventure ect.
Have a repairs section as well and also perhaps have modification section however be careful on that as it could be classified is hacking.
Well that is mostly what I can think of quickly. feel free to pm if you need any help with anything.

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
Those are good but I am still looking for ideas... my forum is a Gaming / Gaming Support Forum
Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
My website which is "GameLife "Beta" We are an MMORPG style of Online Gaming Community. Were hoping to evolve into the worlds first Online Gaming Social Networking.
We feature all MMORPG's while doing, Interviews, Reviews, Events, and more. Really you just need to find a certain area or category that you want. You said Gaming, alright so Consoles or computer? From there you would say Consoles, so you would do all consoles, then a forum for each console, then go by genre, then by game to keep organization skills in tact. Just do sub-categories for the games.
Just kinda how I set mine up. If you want to find us just type GameLife in the search bar.

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
How would you add a page within a forum called Member Roster? For instance I want to add a sheet that has different categories in a row, spaced out so they would be like a header. Then be able to fill in underneath them in columns.
Example: Name Time Zone Console Game Preference
John Pacific PS3 COD3
How would you do this?

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
One suggestion I would make Legend is regardless of the fact you only have 7 members you might consider posting in the topics you already have now and get things started. When visitors see empty topics without a single post in them they assume the forum is abandoned and leave. If you would post something in these topics you already created it would give people something to read. Try to post something interesting that might make someone want to reply. The way it is now the least of your concerns should be creating new topics. If you don't post in the ones you already have no one else will.

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
My forum is for a gaming clan, but we have topics for each game we play and then sub topics within.. So for instance:
CALL OF DUTY 4 <--- Would be the category, then when you click there you have several topics to post in.. Here is a full example exactly as we have ours....
CALL OF DUTY 4
--.. Sniping ( All things sniper related)
--.. Maps (core)
--.. Mods / Maps (add-on)
--.. Tactics
This is an example of how we run ours! Perhaps give people some direction of where and how to post in just the place to post! Variety is the spice of life! (and of forums)

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
I was very interested in this topic since my forumotion forum is a game development and creation forum with multiple styles of software for game production and a sub-focus on games and entertainment. I was saddened by the topic started being banned, but if you can't follow the rules I have to say goodbye bro.
I was still happy this topic was open though.

I do not think so as it can still be used for many other people that can benefit from this.
Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
Generally I'd say definitely include a category for strategy. That applies to almost all games.
Then depending on the game you can add categories as needed. Perhaps for an MMO game, you can add a section that details what a certain group is doing at a certain time. That can be an "events" category. Just look at the different games that you have and determine what is suitable for categories.
Good luck

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
First you should include "General Gaming" section which is mots important in any gaming forum.

Re: Gaming Forum Topics?
First start with General,
then go along with the games you have.
After that create some with bans/cheating stuff.
and at least some fun/ tools stuff
