Personalized Domain VS Redirect Domain

If I get a personalized domain example http://www.abc.com/ does that mean that when people go to http://www.abc.com/ it will go to my forum index? And all the link to the posts starts with http://www.abc.com/ instead of http://abc.forumotion.com/ ?

And for Redirect Domain, if I get a domain from outside (not forumotion) and I set the redirection to my forum, will it shows up my domain URL, or it only redirects to my forumotion URL?

And one more thing, if I use Personalized Domain or a Redirect Domain, can I still use subdomain to link to my other website? Say, http://www.abc.com/subdomain to link to my other page hosted somewhere else? How can I do that?

cuze if you are i also want to see an answer for that ..

I know we can redirect from the domain we buy outside. But, by redirect, it means that out forum are still at forumotion.com. Any link to our post is still forumotion.com/link.. and not ourdomain.com/link..

I just wan to confirm this, and is it if we get our personalised domain from forumotion, we can get ourdomain.com/link... and also if we can use subdomain for our other pages.

so are you sure that if i buy my own domain i can redirect my own forum that when people click on directd.net they will redirect to directd.eurogoo.com?

i think this is the same as my question that is found on the next thread.

if you buy a domain from forumotion it will show as your address and you can force it to show for all pages within your site too.

If you buy outwith forumotion you can redirect and it will likely show your old address once redirected but some domains do offer 'cloacking' which will hide your old address.

if you have sub domain forwarding/redirecting in your domain CP. if not then its not possible.

Will I get to access domain CP if I purchase the domain from forumotion?

same question here example (a more detailed one)

I made a forum here named www.on-abc.shop-forum.net and bought a .com domain named www.on-abc.com. and linked my .com domain to the forum sites name.

If I typed www.on-abc.com it will go to the forum but the name changes back to www.on-abc.shop-forum.net (redirecting)

Is it possible for me to permanently change the www.on-abc.shop-forum.net to just www.on-abc.com? How can it be done ?
