homepage n other helo

i want to make my homepage slick but if your not registered . says this forum has no boards , but i want to edit the homepage and not make the forum visible also i cant add any themes, i cannot the run the .js file also comes up with an error message also unless i choose the ones existing which means its in french and i cant change , i'm a beginner started off yesterday any help would be much appreciated thanx

here are the answers to your questions:

1. When you created your forums, you put the view permission to members. Chnage them all to guest so people can see them

2. To install a theme, you need to do it picture by picture.

thanx but when i do permissions they can see all the forums . . . i tried usin a theme dint work . . i'm new u see am pretty useless

And about themes, which theme were you trying to install ? Where have you downloaded it ?

For better comprehension, I ask you to avoid using SMS language (using single letters or letters for sounds, like u, 2, 4, 8, etc.) and try to write in a decent English.

in gallery the french one . . WorkStation[fusion] [lda] . . . also i stil hav french writing up such as noveau , citer etc . . the rest is ok . . i jus want this theme up but my computer rejects the .js file

The Import feature works only for .bbtheme formats. This kind of file can be created only if another admin installed the skin in his forum and used the "Export feature".

Skin creators don't use this feature, because most of the time, the pics are hosted on their FTP account and they don't want their bandwidth to exceed the authorized limit. If they use the feature, they export only the colors.

its on the ftp account . . what do i do next !?!? . . .

Images : You have to put the addresses one by one in Admin panel > General Admin > Logos & Pictures. To know which file corresponds to which icon, you can help yourself with the "install/panadmin.html" file.

Colors : You copy-paste the color codes given in the "install/colors.html" file

And about the .js file, you insert the URL in this code :
