i defined avatar size as 80 x 80 pixel but

users are able to upload higher pixel and size images as avatars

please help me out

hm... as far as i know there is no limit for external linked pictures (like ImageShack or ServImg)...

can't you go to admin panel -> Styles -> Avatars -> Personal gallery and at the top can't you change that there.

From personal gallery you can only choose if you want to allow members access to the personal gallery but you can't remove the option of uploading pictures from image hosting sites.
