Changing date and time for daylight savings Empty Changing date and time for daylight savings

Post by gm_gunner Thu Nov 02 2006, 09:25

Hi there, sorry if this is a repost, but I am on dial-up internet, and can't really search through all the posts. How do I change the date and time to account for the Daylight Savings time that just took affect here last weekend? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.

Normally, the time should change itself automatically...
Otherwise, admin panel -> general admin -> Configuration
there's a field with possible different GMT's

It's only the case for French and Quebec timezones, the techniciens did the change only for these two timezones. For all other timezones, this must be done manually. You have to change it at these two places :

- Admin Panel > General Admin > Configuration
- Navigation bar > Profile > Preference (at the top-right of the frame)

Changing date and time for daylight savings Empty My time has not changed either

Post by Kingbry Wed Nov 07 2007, 01:29

The time hasn't automatically changed for me either.

I know that the days that DST / non-DST switches changed in recent years (last year maybe?), perhaps that has something to do with the problem?

Is DST something that is being considered to be built in, or is it something that I should suggest? I don't like the idea of having to trick the system into showing the correct time. Especially since it isn't just me that has to fix it, all my members will have to fix it themselves as well. I was hoping it wasn't working because of the new changes to DST, but the normal DST change would have been this last Sunday and things still haven't updated.
