Want to add my forum to a my e-commerce website Empty Want to add my forum to a my e-commerce website

First of all, I am really glad to have a forum for free so, thank you!

I have a company building me an e-commerce site.  My particular niche is highly active with forums; therefore, I want my forum to be the main page of my e-commerce website.  A representative from the company I will be working with told me that to do that - I just needed a forum that used HTML and that I would just have to copy and paste the HTML code from my forum to my website.

I don't want to do a lot of work building a forum audience if I won't be able to bring the entire forum to my website.  I need to make sure I won't build this up and then find out that I have to start all over and build another audience on my website.  I'm fairly new to this and I have a lot of learning and work to do.

Can I just copy and paste HTML code to bring my forum fully onto the main page of my website?  If so, where do I get that code?

I have an online store being built.  I told the guys who are building it that I want my main page to be this forum.  They said that I would just have to copy and paste the HTML to make that happen, but that's all I was told.  If I build this forum, is there anyway I can integrate it into my website on a static page with the content it already has?  I don't want to have to rebuild my member base.  If I can - I don't know where to get the HTML code to do that.

Here you go! Smile

Code:
<object data=http://www.web-source.net width="600" height="400"> <embed src=http://www.web-source.net width="600" height="400"> </embed> Error: Embedded data could not be displayed. </object>

The "object data" and "embed src" should be the link to your forum. The "width" and "height" are self-explanatory. They may need to use CSS if you are wanting it to stretch to fit the user's window, which is probably what is going to need to be done. It all depends on how they structure the website. Using the code above will just make a little window within the website. I would suggest trying to replace the width and height attributes above with "100%". This may help, but It depends where they put the code.
