Hiding "last edited" information Empty Hiding "last edited" information

The "edited (number of times)" information is annoying.. No one cares (at least on my forum) how many times someone edited a reply. How can I take off that feature?

I dont believe you can. But the only time I see that is if the member themselves edit it.

But when myself or one of my other Admins or Mods do it, it doesn't show up

Post by Rich Stone Wed 9 Apr 2008 - 17:38

I just found this thread as suddenly my forum is showing these messages. It never did before and it's doing it on mine, even though I'm the administrator. There must be a way to turn these messages off as otherwise they wouldn't be random...

Please can the developers get onto this as it's making my forum look scruffy... Thanks in advance!

I agree, zink77 and Rich Stone - who cares why I choose to edit a post? I don't use it. I see the need for it in THIS forum, (strictly for Admin purposes) but that would be all.

Hm... well, I think it could be suggested if it hasn't been done already.

But I want to add at this point, those remarks are not random. They only appear if people posted after the post you edit. Though, if you write something in the "reason for edit" field, it will show up in any case.

This is so annoying sometimes! this should be suggested with a poll, please do that...
I know why this feature is good, but sometimes I edit my own posts just to correct sentences, or replace a broken link... I have some post that says it has been edited 10 times, I hate it! I am the admin, why shouldn't I be able to control if it appears for myself...
