Points for members...

Hello all, is there anything such as to give points to the members whenever they post in the topic....

i meam to say as there posts increases, do we have anything as points rewarded to them as one post one point...

You can do something like this by creating personalized profiles.

Zinex has explained how she has done this in a couple other threads. I will have to search for them and then come back to give the link. I will edit this post with the link, if I can find it, so look back to this post a little later.

Sorry but I could not find the post I was looking for. But the tutorial that travis_cooper gave u should help.

Basically what you need to do is create a personalised profile by going to Admin Panel >> General >> Profile, then create personalised profile. Select plain text and its best to have it modifiable by admin and mod. The only drawback is that you will have to manually add points to each member.

A point system is something that has been suggested and is under discussion with the technicians.

In the post that I was searching for, Zinex explains how she has added blinkies for awards, for her members.

Here is the tutorial zinex put together. I followed it pretty easily and have a couple customized profiles set up now because of it. It really is a handy feature.

What exactly do you need it to do? Is it just a bar showing how many points they have? If so when you create the profile use the bar option in the drop down box. There isn't a way, at least that I know of, to get it to automatically update, you have to manually update these on your own. I think point systems are being suggested in the suggestions section right now, check out there and if they are vote for it, if not suggest it yourself.

It is there, I think in the Archives, listed in the probable section. Do not suggest it yourself, or it will be locked, as it has already been suggested
