you can download those icons, open in photoshop and change its opacity and then save as .png, upload and replace.. that'd be good!

You can edit the opacity of the image using an image editing program. You can also use the CSS command:

Add this to your stylesheet :
Administration panel > display > pictures and colors > colors > css stylesheet
Change the opacity value as you wish.
