new and can't find a saved posting on my forum

Greetings! Thanks for this forum program first of all! I'm brand new trying to create my own songwriting forum and while working in the administrative panel under the category songwriting independent and the forum Welcome To Songwriting Independent, I wrote my introduction and saved it but I cannot find it anywhere and thought it was supposed to automatically post in that category. I cannot find my problem in the FAQ area and hoped that you can help me to see what I did wrong. Thank you

Are you sure to have created a forum and not a category ?

To make a category visible, it must contain at least one forum.
