Forums not working

i have catagorys set up and i have forums in those catagories.

when i go to my home page it just shows all the forums and doesnt show the catagory.

Try admin panel=>General=>Homepage=>Hierarchy and look for "Split categories on index " and choose the layout you would like.

no you cannot make global announcement in all forums at once. You need to create topic in every forum one by one.

You're welcome. You need to buy a personalized domain name in order to change your forum address like that.

one more problem when someone posts on the forum it doest show as a new post

i have one more question lol. i made a portal now how do i make it so when people go to the website it goes to the portol instead of going to the forums?

I remind that double/triple posting isn't tolerated unless separated by 24 hours
Once you activated the portal it will be your homepage(the page that everyone sees when they enter your forum).

ok i have a big problem on the portal page some of the boxes are sticking out of he main body frame.

i fixed it it was the login box doing it

if you encounter that problem again in future or you still want the login module in a side column (what i assume you wanted), you'd have to either increase the forums overall width (Styles / Pictures & Colors / Colors), or you'd have to change the width of the single columns of your portal by going to "Modules / Portal / Portal Pages management" and clicking on this icon ( Forums not working Editer
