you can select search in the nav menu, then advanced search to specify what you want to look for and where. Smile

Thanks for the reply. Is it possible to search for specific words in a Post? For example, in a forum I have a post that contains the word "InDesign". When I do a search in the Advanced search, I type keyword "InDesign", specify which forum to search and I get no match.

Thanks,

Here is the original search thread:

https://help.forumotion.com/other-problems-f46/search-feature-t1828.htm

And the poll:

https://help.forumotion.com/archives-f33/improve-the-search-feature-t2542.htm

Since that time, we have gained the ability to search for specific words in the body text of posts, but it uses Google as the search engine. You go into Search/Advanced Search, enter your key words, check "Search all items", then click on the Google Search button. Do not hit return.

This works pretty well, although I've found a couple instances where it didn't find every post it should have, and if the post was entered a short time ago, it will not come up. It takes Google a few days before it can find newly posted topics.

I think a dedicated advanced search feature, built into the bulletin board, would be the best solution.
