Email Activation

Will email activation be required forever or are they going to change it? If they do when will it be taken out or made an option?

They won't be any automatic activation, as it's judged unsecured by our team.

But you can define either email activation by members, or manual activation by admin in :
users & groups > users settings > "New accounts activation"
