Password storage Empty Password storage

Post by Paulostge December 10th 2014, 11:28 am

Good afternoon, I would like to ask a question about the passwords of members when they register because they get the email name and password.

I would like to know which method the server uses to check the cïrrectness of the password that the user types to log in

For example...

Password storage Empty Re: Password storage

Hello Paulostge,
When a user creates the account and enters their password, that info is stored privately so you cannot see it unless you have access to the Control Panel of the server which we do not have that access. As for if they can save it, that would be saved in what is known as a "keychain". But as the Administrator of a board, you are unable to see that information such as their password for the protection of the user. That info would be stored on the server and there is no way for you to change this as far as I am aware.

Hope this provides a clearer understanding for you.
