I use Notpad++
I like it because it automatically colors the tags, so if there's an error it is immediately visible
What I also like about it is it has maaaaaany other languages, so I don't need other programs on the side

Re: What is your favorite HTML/Visual HTML editor?
Have you first looked in the "Building a website" link ? I normally gave a link to NVU, a open source HTML editor who's more respectful towards the W3C standards.
Personally, like Caihlem, I use Notepad++. With a text editor, I have full control on my code, so I can ensure the code is W3C valid, has pages built without tables and respects semantics (choice of tags according to the content) for accessibility reasons.

I prefer Adobe dreamweaver CS3
got it free with my PSCS3 ... it also color codes every script and shows what I need and possible errors... especially in CSS.
plus its easy to use and can directly login to your FTP account and automatically update it.

I use Notepad (The generic one) and Dreamweaver. I had to learn all the programs though in college (Got a BA in Multimedia- Interactive Media & Web design) I prefer to create my web pages in Flash though.

Re: What is your favorite HTML/Visual HTML editor?
Notepad++ forever the best
Same reasons than Cailhem, I've tried some editors, and I can't use another one..
(And with a 22" screen, sooo much code on it.. perfect )
