INVITE YOUR FRIENDS

Hey i see on some website the old invite your friends here. With the 6 boxes that you put your friends emails in and it sends emails to them. What about that for the forum. Maybe a section on the portal.

Also does anyone know how to do that on html?

Hi Stinkfire. Zinex posted a link to a "send a friend" feature that can be added to your forum to invite members. I use it on my forum as well.

When you follow the link that Nessa posted above, click "Get the code" to proceed to the next step. You will find a link "<p align=... etc..." - copy that entire code and go back into the admin panel of your board. Now, decide what page you want to have linked.

Place this code on that page you want your invited users to arrive - for example your portal. Go to "Modules / Portal / Portal Pages Management / Structure" and click "create a custom block". Fill in the fields here, you can leave it as table type = yes. Paste the code from Send2Friend into the "BLock source" field and save. Back to the "Structures" page, you can now add your new block somewhere on the portal by selecting it in "Addition/deletion of personal modules".
