Hi @LilaP,

Are you using the following rule in your stylesheet ?

This one resizes images larger than 250x250
Code:
.postprofile dt img {
  max-width:250px;
  max-height:250px;
}

This one resizes images to 250x250 ( small and large )
Code:
.postprofile dt img {
  width:250px;
  height:250px;
}

well I tried both of the codes you gave me. one of them makes the smaller avatar the size of 250 x 250. the other does nothing to the avatar.

this is what is should look like
its 165 x 225

this is how it looks when uploaded from comp. see how the credits along the left side are distorted.
It should be clear to read.

Is the image coming out blurry when you upload it via Profile > Avatar > Upload an Avatar from your computer, or is it from the CSS. I'd just like to clarify on what we're talking about. Smile

So, when you upload it to servimg it becomes blurred, correct ? The only way I could see it doing that is if the image size is greater than 2mb, or the dimensions are way too large. In which case, the image is then converted to a lower quality JPG.

The only way to avoid that would be to either flatten the layers of the image ( save a flatted png or jpeg ), or shrink the image.

When I uploaded it to servimg it wasn't blurred. Did you mean uploading the image in the profile > avatar page ? When I uploaded an avatar from there it got blurred, because its width and height was greater than 150px.

You can change the maximum size here :
Admin Panel > Display > Avatars Management > Personal Avatars > Maximum Avatar File Size

When I changed it from 150x150 to 165x225 it came out perfectly.

You can also use the "Link to an off-site Avatar" option which can get past this restriction.

That is what you meant, correct ?

If I missed again I'm gonna cry.. TT

You must have read my message wrong. I said "when we use the www.servimg.com is when it comes up blurred"
this has only started. it use to be just fine loading with serming. all of sudden it isn't ok anymore.
Ok now I am looking back at another person who used the same avatar and hers is fine. I just tried replacing the avatar using serming so it must be the person who has the blurred one..maybe something wrong with her machine. sorry about the confusion.
You can close this topic now...tyvm for trying to help me out.
Have a nice day....Lila
