Buying domain name

Could someone give me some information on the buying points system please?

If I wanted to buy enough points to buy a specific domain name how much would that cost? Is there any difference between the various domain names (.com, .org etc) as far as the rankings on Google is concerned? If I changed the domain name would the forum maintain the Google/Yahoo rankings we have acheived to date, or would it be like building up a new forum again?

Sorry for all the questions but would appreciate any help or advice you can give, thanks a lot.

You will have the same Forum, it will just move to another domain. There is no differentce between org, com, etc. The prize is 1600 points, so about 15 - 16 Euros

Also does it alter the Google rankings initially?

I dn't know about Google Rankings, but you're forum will stay exactly the same

Please don't double post - that doesn't make your question being answered faster.

Now, can you see those points directly on the right hand side of your main admin panel page? In this case, those would be the forum-directory points. They are supposed to make different forums comparable to each other - kind of a ranking. They have nothing to do with the bought points you can purchase in "Misc / Points Management".
