Topic Locked - Why?

Hi,

Recently I posted a thread asking for help with a forum and this thread was then locked for 'publicizing forum'. It really was not the intention to 'spam' the forum and I can't see what's wrong with asking for help with the forum? I think it's wrong that the thread was locked without letting me know. If changes were required then I'm sure I would have been happy to cooperate.

I've read through your long thread, and it seemed like a publicity thread indeed.
I can understand that you didn't intend on spamming, but helas, ths is a support forum and we already have an advertising corner. Therefore publicity esewhere is spam

Well could you please reinstate it in a more suitable forum? You can remove the link to my forum saying PM me for more info or something. It really wasn't trying to advertise in the sense of gaining more users and I can understand why you may have seen it as advertising. I was simply asking if anyone wanted to join the project.
