That doesn't actually hide the thread it just puts a box round it, i could do that by editing it, The contents of this message have been hidden. But What i want is the ability to take away the post, or thread (I'll get a picture for that one) including the name and all the content.


Also I suggest giving some members (moderators etc) the ability to have a colored background.

The point of having a hidden post it that you have the ability to hide someone thread, that breaks some rules etc.

What you mean is make a post only visable to like admin/mods or groups? ie like say you have a thread where people post thier email address you can hide it from certain groups maybe?

Hello, this seems to be causing some confusion:

If a thread has been hidden, it means it had broken rules, as you can see in the picture.
It could be used to conceal an email adress.

Ok im confused i used that code and yes it hide the message from people till they replyed then it showed up!! i would like it to be hidden and admin choose who can see it

Ok, don't really agree with the whole who can see it thing, you could just delete it.

Say user1 said a rude word in the post, the moderator would hide the post so other people couldn't see it.
If the moderator used the code then user1 could edit the post and replace the word.

If the post is hidden you can't delete or edit your post therfore it would be impossible to edit.

I actually dont like this idea at all. I dont understand why something should be hidden. If there is something you DONT like in his post, edit it and give that member a warning. If a post is hidden, it will only make questions WHY it is hidden. And seeing an inappropriate word every here and then never killed anyone.

Ok.. the good thing is that it means that it can't be edited.. once you hide a thread you can't see or do edit it. i think that members shouldn;t have to see swear words.
