Solved How to make a forum read-only

Post by jkh June 27th 2023, 16:33

Hey guys, I hope you're all ok

Aside from putting a forum 'on holiday', is there a quick way to make a forum permanently read-only so that only guests can read and no members can log in?

Or do you have to go through every single forum, sub-forum, category individually to change the permissions?

The last time I put the forum 'on holiday' people were still able to log in.

If you get me drift...

Ta muchly ? :rose:

Good afternoon!

The way you mentioned is the fastest.

The other way is to edit the Permissions for each forum.
This needs to be done for each forum separately.
Below are some screenshots of how to do this.

Users will be able to register, log in to the forum, but will not actually be able to do anything on the forum.
