user groups

ok now another problem first of all one of my friends registered and i mad a group called moderators and im trying to add him to that group.I went to his profile and clicked change permissions and moved it to moderator.Then i wenst to user groups and he wasnt on there so i tried to add him and it says sorry no username exists.so i was wondering how you add him in the group.and if i do will it change the color at the bottom of the screen?PLZ help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

oh ya and how do u change the languge of stuff to make it english?

yiou have to add some one directly to a usergroup. you can't just make him a mod and he's there. hope that helps

i did that and it said user doesnt exist but i know he does ^_^

are you sure ou typed in the right name. and you can do the look up a user thing

yes im absoultly positive i typed in the right name i went to group management and where it says add a member I clciked find user and typed in his name and it said user does not exist please help!!??

alright, first, let us now if he successfully registered at your forum

if not, try looking his name at the INACTIVE USERS, go to:

Admin Panel >> User Admin >> Inactive User

Find his name and activate him.

if already activated him or if he successfully registered at your forum, you can set up now your group moderation.

Could it be that the User has checked "hide online status" in his/her profile preferences? I have a User who doesn't seem to show up on the members list when she is logged in.

to make sure you are typing the right user name, go to the group admin panel, choose the mods group, choose find an user, type "*" to show all the users, select your friend name and finaly insert him in the group.
