The chatbox layout and adding homepages
Hi guys
Well, this is really two questions I suppose.
First, and I'm quite a novice at this, is it possible to add a homepage (I never set one up on my forum), with brief intro, colours and pic/s?
I already have all data I need (welcome statement etc) but thought a homepage would be nice, even though I have a forum address. Is it too late?
Secondly, how do you add a different appearance to the chatbox (background colours and font colour etc)?
Thanks very much!

Hello Huscarl_1016,
Question 1) You can either activate the portal, which will become the first page your guests will see when they visit (just like this support forum); or you can create a 'Homepage Message', which will appear on the top of your forums page. You can also do both if you wish.
Activate Portal - Go to: Administration Panel > Modules > Portal > Set 'Show the portal' to 'Yes'. With the portal you can create modules that will display all your information in columns (1-3)
Homepage Message - Go to: Administration Panel > General > Homepage > Scroll down to the 'Homepage message' section. You can add all your information in this section and it will be displayed on the top of your forums page. Click on the '+Html' icon to make it a bit easier when adding pictures.
Question 2) Changing the colors of your forum and/or portal will also affect your chatbox. To change the colors, go to: Administration Panel > Styles > Colors (under 'Pictures and Colors' in left column). If nothing happens when you make changes, then you'll likely have to edit the CSS Stylesheet by hand. You can access the CSS Stylesheet by clicking on the 'CSS Stylesheet' tab on the right in the same section of the Administration Panel.
