Chatbox Link Help - can this be done?

Is there a way to create a special link to the chatbox which also displays the number of users currently in chat?

Something that looks like...

Join Chat (0) = If no one is in chat...

Join Chat (4) = If there are 4 people in chat.

and by clicking on it it would take you to the chat box?

They already show that in the who is online box. Now I believe this code should work for you:

I copied and pasted it, but nothing happened... I don't have a lot of experience with java, is there anything site specific I have to change in the code for it to work on my site?

Be sure to click on the A/A button in the top right of the text box BEFORE you paste the code.

So delete everything in the text box-clcik the A/A button-paste the code-click save

Did that just now and it has the same result... nothing happens

Still not getting anywhere with this... I'm pretty sure it's possible it shows up on the Who's On Line Widget at the bottum of the forum. I'd just like it to show up on my nav bar...
