Re: Max pic size
May I ask on what phpBB version your board is running? You can check this in "Display / Choose a theme / Version".

Re: Max pic size
If you place the following code into "Display / Colors / CSS Stylesheet", you can limit the maximum image size within posts. All images that are above that width, will be resized automatically. The red part defines the max width in pixels and can be changed of course.
.postbody img{max-width:800px;}
.postbody img{max-width:800px;}

As Sunny said, it goes on the CSS style sheet (Display/Colors/CSS)
That will limit the size of graphics in the message area. You might want to change the 800px to something much less, like 480px. The smaller the number, the smaller the pics will be allowed.
If they are doing this in their signatures there is probably a different class for that.
Re: Max pic size
You can also try this class. Again, you can edit the red marked part to the width you want to define as maximum (in pixels).
.post img{max-width:800px;}
.post img{max-width:800px;}

Re: Max pic size
I put that code in there too. I reduced them both to 200 just for a test and I can still post 640x480 pictures. Is it because Im using photobucket instead of using the forums pic host?

Re: Max pic size
It shouldn't matter. You ARE asking about members posting pics in messages, right? If you're talking about your gallery that is an entirely different issue.
Re: Max pic size
Yeah, I'm talking about within posts/messages..
I just reset it and tried again and those codes make no difference..

Re: Max pic size
And you entered this on the CSS stylesheet and saved it? Refresh your browser or better yet exit your browser altogether and look again. The code works on my forum.

Well what can I say. It works for me. I have no idea what you're doing.
Re: Max pic size
What I do is I copied that onto the Display/Colours/CSS space, and then when I went back to the forum the pictures were still cut off the same amount. I'm still trying to figure out how to change the max pic size.

Re: Max pic size
What forum version are you using? If it's phpBB 3, then use the first code I provided, it works on version 3 as well. Note me if you use punBB.
Also, be sure you actually clicked "submit" after pasting a code in the textarea.

Re: Max pic size
Guys, is there a limit in the basic CSS code already?
Because, everytime you want to change something in the CSS which is already in there, you have to copy the whole CSS code into your sheet and disable the basic one. Otherwise the basic CSS will always used before the cumstomized CSS.

Re: Max pic size
But that is supposed to be that way. The basic CSS contains all changes you are doing in the admin panel - for example in the colors page. This CSS is the default one for your site (without any CSS it would look very messed up) and you can't write text directly in there.
Everything in your custom CSS field will only overwrite the respective class in the basic CSS - the rest will still be used from the basic CSS. So, you'd have to just write the part in there that you want to have changed and leave the default CSS activated.
