Chat box suggestion

just an idea probably been mentioned before

would there be any chance of getting the chat box smaller and possibly
made into a drop down box from the index bar ?

i like to use it on my forum but the fact that it's "TOO" big i have to place it at the bottom of my forum and there it gets missed by other members this resulting in it not getting used !

any plans ?
