Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Hi
After recent admin updates, how is it now possible to change the height or width of the website's subject row on the main website page?("INtroduction" "General" "Off-Topic" etc)
I'm wanting to make them look narrower so I can fit more 'homepage' on screen?
Thanks

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
I think....this is what you want........I HOPE!!!
Go to Your Admin Page
Select General Tab
Click on Configuration
Scroll don and find Pages structure and selec the % you want....Narrow, I would select 75% and see if that works for you!!!

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Thanks, TeamKaizen
But I'm afraid it's the horizontal topics that appear on the homepage that I'm wanting to reduce height-wise so that I can squeeze more homepage into view when looking at the screen.
It's these that I'm wanting to reduce slightly in height (not the actual website page width), if it's possible? Such as between the red markers below-
Thanks

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
The height in that picture is because of the Icon that is placed there. It is not the height. Its the picture.

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Just go to pics management and delete the picture topics icons.
Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Ok guys
I tried reducing the topic icons in size, but to no avail- I think the 'problem' is having all the topic/user/last post info in the right-hand column?

If not for the three above, I could narrow the rows?

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
How did you try to reduce the icons size. I would think that would require you to edit each of them off-site,then add them back in via pics management.
Try deleting them entirely via pics management and see if that makes the spacing what you want. If you don't like it, just add them back ... but you're not going to be able to - as far as I know - just reduce the size of the icons from the CP.

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Thanks Saurus
Yes I did exactly what you said, but wasn't convinced it had solved the spacing issue, then tried shrinking them to no avail, so re-added them!
It's the info in the right hand column, as above ("see last post", "member name" etc).

Re: Changing the dimensions of the topic row
Hello Huscarl,
The forum categories use a minimum height in the CSS settings (default is 75px), that is why a row can't fall below a specific height. To change this, go to "Display / Colors / CSS Stylesheet" and enter the following code (I assume your forum is on phpBB version 3?!)
ul.forums li.row dl{min-width:50px;}
The red marked value can be modified to your needs. However, icons and text still could increase the height, this is only a value for the minimum.
