Well, you could remove the rank, and then set the group, Administrators to have no colour for the usernames. Then they would appear as a normal user with admin priviledges.

Make ADMINISTRATOR a hidden group.

You didn't say you also had ADMIN as a rank:) If it was a group it would work.
