is there a code for a side bar?

we'd like to put a side bar in on our main page.I haven't been able to find a code for same.Is there one?

What sort of sidebar do you want? Do you want one like the one you see here on the right hand side of the Support Forum? => => =>

The forum might have to be sized down though.

What we'd like to do is put the shout box on the side rather than in a forum.
Is that possible?

Go to:
(1) Admin Panel > Modules > Portal & Widgets (left hand column) > Forum Widgets Management

(2) Make your settings so they are the same as this:


(3) Click on Save.

(4) Repeat step 2 again

(5) Scroll down and remove all the widgets from the right hand side of the layout display. Then click on the Personal Widgets tab and drag the Shoutbox widget into the right hand side of the layout.

(6) Click on Save

Done.
