Personal Domain Empty Personal Domain

Hey there,

I currently have My Forum with Forumotion.com, and I also own my personal .com domain...

I have set it to point to My Forum address, however... it doesn't work...

Any suggestions?

If it won't let you purchase a domain it could be that the domain has already be taken and you may need to decide on a different one.

if you have purchased it however it wont let you use the domain name, make sure that you have the "Force the redirection of the URL :" switched to on

Admin panel\General\Forum address

At the bottom you will see option's to redirect anything close to the domain name to your domain.

If you just bought it, give it some time. On the credit management page, it probably says "processing". It may take a few hours. Smile

Hey.... I own this site already and its not from forumotion.com .... its from my ISP... Can it still be done?

Can i have a non forumotion domain pointed to my forum?

You can use a "Redirect" script posted in the top of your HTML so when users use the domain name it changes and relocates the user to your forum

The forum itself will not change however the domain name would just redirect to the forums address

Can i have a non forumotion domain pointed to my forum?

yes ! no problem. the only condition is that the external domain name must have an editable CNAME!!

did your domaine admin panel give you acess the the CNAME edition?
