File Upload
Hi,
I've just set up my forum (Science Space) which is for the kids in my science classes at the school I teach at. It's basically going to be a journaling and self reflection tool. Is there any way an option similar to the gallery function could be created to allow files with the extension *.doc and *.pdf to be uploaded to allow students to submit work online? I'm assuming the files would, in general, be smaller than most images and a size cap could be placed on it in the admin control panel like there is for images. Then when the student wants to submit the piece of work for grading or critique they can post a link to it that I can then download or open.
Cheers,
Simon

Re: File Upload
I say yes too, But Mr. V you ned toa dd a poll to your posts, as it needs lots of folk to agree before it may possibly be made available.
Howerever, I think they could already do it. I have steering group news letter loaded in pdf and also in word, so that it cambe read and saved to file by users.

Ok - will get onto the poll thing... Mamabear... the url for those PDF and DOC links is not the same s your forum url. I'm talking about uploading them to the forummotion databases like we do with teh gallery function. I could host files on the school's local server too and then link remotely but then the kids could not submit work easily (unless they can do it as an attachment maybe... haven't looked at that possibility...)

Re: File Upload
I'm definitely out of the loop because I still cannot figure out how to upload a jpeg file using the new admin panel. Can someone share your insight? Thanks.
