Am I allowed to sell merchandise for my site on my site?

I don't know where to post this nor do I know if this was asked already.

I'd like to have a .com domain for my forum and some other things which cost credits, ergo money. But asking plain for danoations is a bit odd. The more, most of my members are on my forum because we're something like "politically pursued refugees" (haha, now that I read it it's even more funny) of another site which is asking for donation so badly, it's filled with ads for anyone who doesn't pay per month.
So I don't really just put that donation thing on my site.

I planned to sell things like T-Shirts and Mousepads and those stuff of my site and take the earning as the donation. When I brought up the idea my members liked it. The question is just, am I allowed to sell these things directly on my site? (As I said, the incoming is used like donations' money) And if not, am I allowed to make this shop on another host and post the link?

You're allowed to sell thing on your forum (or via your forum if the terms suits better)
