Why can I edit templates for free?

I've recently read loads of topic about buying templates so you can edit them, I have never bought any credits or points and yet I've still got permission to modify every template of my forum


Why is this?

Have you bought anything else for your forum? Including a longer term for your domain name?
It could be that you have bought something and this template editing came with it as part as some offer.

Also this feature is only available for phpbb2

If my forum stays open a year i get the domain free for another year
