Question about Copyright
Hello everybody
There is site wich is going to transmit football matches. Is it legally to insert inframe of such site into the forum?

Re: Question about Copyright
If it is an official site, like the NFL and that board has asked permission to use and received approval, then yes, they should be able to use it. If Admin request's proof of permission to use, they can just send them the approval letter/e-mail, they were given.
If it is an unofficial site that just shares Iframe codes, then no. They probably don't have permission to use themselves and Your board, your friends board and/or forumotions may get into trouble.
At least that is how I think it works

Re: Question about Copyright
from my understanding framing is fine as long as you give the other site credit, such as including a link to the full site being framed. In most cases its free advertisement for them anyway and they shouldnt mind it.
If anyone has a problem with it use www.mysitemixer.com and frame that. Its my site and yes you have permission to frame it. Mysitemixer is a web based website browser so there is no issues. You can make a website mix, then grab your shared URL in "preferences" then just frame that URL and done.

Re: Question about Copyright
That was not the issue as I saw it. This is what I believe, someone wants to transmit football matches. Football leagues (basically all sport leagues) have owners who own full copyrights to their leagues. These owners want you to pay to watch their leagues play, (it is how they pay themselves, the players and buy equipment) so why would they give permission for anyone to transmit their football matches online for free?
So you want to transmit Dallas Cowboy matches, first you have to go to the website and read their rules, like this one...
©2007 Dallas Cowboys. All rights reserved. Do not duplicate in any form without permission of the Dallas Cowboys.
Most pod casts and more are free to download for personal use only. So I suppose it is up to admin's here.

Re: Question about Copyright
yes, I would be interested to see what admins think.
Aloverssunset, I understand what your saying but the facts are that any site that has been framed would require a subscription just the same as any site.
Lets say website owner A frames a "Paid" video site, the only thing the members will see is a option to purchase such a video. Theres no way to bypass such a subscription fee via a frame that I am aware of via a framed site
All in all the framed site gets advertisement. The forumotion admin has no way to give a illegal feed unless its already a illegal feed.
