Forum Attached to Own Website? Empty Forum Attached to Own Website?

Post by RobertForbes August 3rd 2008, 2:59 pm

have recently designed a website and i'm looking to add a forum section.

I found this site but before i register for a forum i have some questions:

The website i designed is: http://www.timwescott.com

I don't want any adverts and i don't want a forum name called timwescott.forummotion

I want a forum that is attched to the site so if a user clicks on the forum button they will get taken to the forum i.e. www.timwescott.com/forum

I hope that makes sense. Is this possible to do and if so could someone break down the steps for me on how to go about achieving this?

I've ran forums in the past before and i'm sick to death of all the adverts attached. I want my own forum attached to my own website with no links to other 3rd party websites.

Thanks

Please be patient, when someone with possible solution to your problem or answer passes, I'm sure he/she'll post it.
Meanwhile, may I remind you that double/triple posting isn't tolerated unless separated by 24 hours ( Use the edit button) Wink

1. Buy a hosting package
2. Buy/Register a Domain name of your choice
3. Download phpBB2/3 software
4. Install at your host via FTP
5. No ads, named what you want. Done.
