Count posts, count points? Empty Count posts, count points?

In the forum there is a system and when someone sents a post it counts 1 post. Then in everyones profile you can see that he has x posts.
Why don't you make a system and when someone sents a post it counts 1 points, when he starts a topic it counts 2 points etc?
