ip addresses

i recently banned some one and i got there ip address but did not ban by ip just user name. How can i track this new users ip address

Im sorry... but Im not following ur question. What is it that you want to do?

In everypost there is an IP icon, if your not sure about what one is the IP icons simply hover over the images and a small text box will reveal its name.(IE Only)

Select the IP icon, this will take you to another page,

here you can see all the IP address's this person posted under on the forum

take the IP address from here and BAN it using the admin panel

That doesn't always work, so go into the said person's file your banning via the ACP search and at the bottom find a button that allows you to ban the "NAME" also....

Many users these days use IP address multiples...I banned a guy from my forums that had posted with 7 diff IP's and ended up doing it by name and not IP since he would just change IP's and come back again....
